I have a fine nib, which many pens don't provide. Its easy to refill. Its slimmer than the majority of the fountain pens, which I appreciate and allows me to write longer.

I have been thoroughly pleased with blue. Waterman is known for being a no nonsense ink and this one is no exception. I have a sometimes fussy pen that is slow to start and the Absolute Brown completely eliminates that challenge. It's a medium Brown that dries fairly quickly and I have yet to see any feathering even on office paper.

I bought this to use in my fountain pen. The color is perfect shade of blue. It flows through the pen easily, and dries on paper fast. It doesn't leak through the paper and doesn't dry up in the pen when not in use. Works just as fountain pen ink should!

This is great ink for a fountain pen. The ink doesn't smudge and distort the writing. If the writing isn't readable the writer is to blame :).

My absolute favorite ink. Bright bold color. I keep a bottle on my desk and a spare in the drawer and order new as soon as I break out the spare. I have used several other brands which are nice but none match this one.

The ink was darker than I expected but it is a nice ink. I am very happy with it. The description of it being serenity blue made me think of a lighter blue like the sky but it is more like a night blue. I would buy this ink again for the same price. It was worth the price I paid.

Good Ink. Great Color. I love using it in my fountain pens. But the bottles should be sealed at the lid as we had a catastrophic accident with one other bottle opening in the box. The complete stain still has not come out of my carpet.

This Waterman fountain pen, using Waterman Ink, is the only fountain pen I have ever owned that does not dry out. No matter how many days the pen is idle, I can pick it up and write with it and the ink flows well. No matter what brand of fountain pen you own, this is the ink to use!!

This ink is very dense and it dries very quickly, making it much easier to keep the page clean when writing a lot. Would definitely recommend this product.

This ink seems to flow well and the drying time is just right for me. Not so fast that it dries in the nib as you are writing but fast enough that I don't tend to smear it as I write. I am left handed so drying time is important to me. It also seems to mix moderately well with other Waterman inks to produce various, and sometimes strange, colors. If you like a deep blue color you should like this ink.

I use this ink in my fountain pen to handwrite envelopes with samples for my clients - many, scattered through the day. Winston and Newton Calligraphy Ink had me tearing my hair out - the nib would dry, the ink would clog, so this Waterman ink has saved my good temper!
Cristina Martin
Nice, well-behaved ink. The color is a gorgeous true brown, and looks good even with the extra-fine nib I've been using it with. It's fairly quick to dry, and easy to wash off skin :-) Overall, I'm very pleased with this ink.

Great smooth flowing, non-clogging, water-based black ink for my Pilot Metropolitan fountain pen! Dried quickly in less than 2 seconds on printer paper. The ink did not smear after drying. The bottle looks fantastic in person. I would definitely recommend this ink!

I had never used bottled ink before. Then, recently, I decided to use converters to fill my pens. Not wanting to hunt down my old converters, I purchased a few, and I tried the green ink I purchased. I also purchased a few other colors. The green is a rich color and I enjoy using it since it is different from the other colors I use.

I purchased this ink because I wanted an affordable "brighter" green ink. I returned to school and am enrolled in counseling classes where handwritten note taking is essential. So I needed an ink that could write well on cheap Mead comp books and would flow fast enough to keep up with speedy lectures. This ink exceeds my expectations!

This is a gorgeous, black color that just pops off the page! There isn't a lot of subtlety to this ink--not a lot of variance or shading--but if you're looking for a color that stands out in an ink that isn't too wet or too dry, this is a great choice.

Hello... very good ink, Drys very and doesn't smudge also really nice color the brown is different and just jumps out at you... Thanks for the purchase.

I bought this ink for use with the quill pen to give artistic projects an older appearance. The effect is exactly what I was looking for.

I have used several types of bottled ink , but this is my favorite. Hands down. Beautiful color, no leaks or drops, as had with others. Dries fast. I can now carry my pen in my purse and there is no problem when i open it to write.
Adrian Duncan
Overall very happy with the color. It is a deep blue color that dries relatively fast. I am using a medium nib and it really looks great on all of the paper I have used thus far.

I prefer using fountain pens for writing, but have been frustrated by the little cartridges. One of my pens has a ink reservior that allows me to use bottle ink. This is exactly what I was looking for and it works great.

Real deal genuine item. Works well in my fountain pens - better than any of the several other brands I have tried. Flows smoothly and writes well.

I do a lot of writing and drawing with ink pens and bought this ink to refill my fountain pen. It dries quickly with no smearing, which is a huge plus since I'm always running my hand over my paper. The ink is thin enough that I'm not afraid it will clog my pen and is easy to work with when refilling. I am also someone who is really sensitive to smell, but this ink was totally odorless! I ordered the Serenity Blue color, and I love how brilliantly it dries on paper. I'm shocked by the quality considering the price was so affordable. Waterman is my new go-to ink!

If Frank Costanza had Waterman's Serenity Blue in his pen, it's likely he never would have needed to deploy that classic mantra to quell his rage.
Angelica Crosby
So far so good. The pen writes and draws smoothly using Waterman ink. I use it for everyday writing and drawings. I like the refillable adapter. Price is affordable but that is as high I will go to purchase a fountain pen.

I'm so happy with the rich blue color of this ink. I wasn't sure if I wanted blue or black so I took a chance. I'm thinking of buying another pen for the red ink. It's so tempting. I've been writing on blank cards I purchased last year. It's fun. My family get so surprised to receive a note in the mail every once in a while. Great product!

Great ink. The only complaint I have is that the bottle tends to leak a little from the edge of the rim opening. Caused my hands to get a little dirty but nothing a little water and soap couldnt take off. Besides that, great product!
Gabrielle Hunter
This ink color is the classic royal blue and is lighter than Mont Blanc navy color ink. This is perfect for signing contracts or documents where you want to distinguish a copy from an original. Also beautiful color for personal notes and coordinates well with some of the Crane paper products with the blue trim, if you care about that kind of stuff.

Black is very opaque, uniform and flows smoothly. It is not grainy and, if left in the pen longer than the recommended limit of 2 to 3 weeks, it doesn't plug up the nib channels the way some inks do. Economically priced. Has replaced all my other ink brands.
Izabella Stein
I like my ink like I like my coffee - intense and black. Happy to report this ink is both. And it comes in a classy thick glass bottle you're unlikely to knock over in the middle of an emotional poem or love letter. Recommend.

The color is very beautiful!
I also like the design of the glass bottle.
It is non-waterproof, and it is safe to be used in all fountain pens.
Overall, I am very happy with this purchase, so I give it five stars.
I have included few photos for you to look at the details of the product.
If this review is helpful to you,[...] this would really encourage me to give better reviews in the future. Thank you very much =)

The pigment is great! I use this ink in my calligraphy pen to sign documents at work. It is the perfect color and quite pigmented. I have another bottle of ink from another brand and it looks really watered down on paper. I would buy this again.

The best and most useful purchase I've had! Love it!

I primary use a Lamy Al-star with a fine nib. It flows very well and writing is buttery smooth. Even on cheap Mead comp books, the ink dries quickly and best of all.. does not bleed through! I use both sides of the paper and have never had a problem. It has never clogged my pen but I flush it every 3rd or 4th fill with distilled water as part of my regular maintenance. I also use a very fine Pilot Kakuno as a backup and diagramming pen. This ink also works just as well in that tight nib and makes it a joy to write with.
I highly recommend this ink for anyone that wants an affordable beautifully performing ink. I went with Serenity Blue because I did want something that was a little different but still had a good contrast for reading and writing in dim lights. It is a bit brighter than the standard blue which makes it unique yet still comes across as professional and worthy of attention.

This is a nice medium brown, a little on the red side. Some of my ventures into other inks have shown the inconsistency in user-friendliness across the color range. So far, I've had no such setbacks with Waterman.
Qualities:
This ink shades nicely. It runs from a dark terra-cotta to a deep chocolate. I'd say it's flow was medium, making it very predictable. I've tried it in two pens, one medium nib and one flex pen. Both responded to the ink very well and give similar results in terms of color range, dry time, and flow.
For people looking for a very deep brown or one that leans less to the red side, this may not be your ink. However, if you're wanting to try a brown you should really give this one a try.
The photo I've included isn't color corrected, but will give you some idea of the range of shades. The colors do appear darker here than they are in person, however.

The ink is very nice worth the price!
